Exhibitions

Happy Birthday

Canada is pretty old this year: a whole 150, as we know it, and the guys at Peace Gallery North in Fort St John have bravely given me July to exhibit something.  I love Canadiana, I love all the icons, the ideaology of being a Canadian – both good and bad; the landscape, the snow, rain, blizzards, scorching heat, locusts, all of it.  So I’m gonna talk about it, me and a few friends.  I’ll keep you posted.

Also this year, together with Catherine Nicholls the Great (and this is her baby, but, I’ve been invited…) we will put together Ruins, What a great theme, eh? While Canada is short on epic historical ruins, we have our subtle little gems, and we, like everyone on the planet have our metaphorical ruins.

I am working on classic forms of pottery – like the hydria, amphora, and the krater, and putting a contemporary, idiosyncratic spin on it.

you are welcome to email, text or call for information about what I might have at the studio.  I usually don’t have a big stock of product, but if you would like to order Save a Tree Mugs, or Word Ware Bowls or anything else that I make, please give me a shout.
